Biography
Thomas McKeon has received his PhD in Biochemistry at UC Berkeley with Postdoctoral Research in Plant Biochemistry at UC Davis. He has over 100 publications, mostly in Plant Lipid Enzymology and Molecular Biology. He is an Editor and author for the book chapter “Industrial Oil Crops”. He is an Editor for Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (BAB), a Board Member for American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) Biotechnology Division and International Society for Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (ISBAB). He has organized conferences for ISBAB and for US-Japan Natural Resources (UJNR) Food and Agriculture Panel.

Thirty years experience in biology. Lipscomb Distinguished Professor of Agriculture at Arkansas State University. Previously, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology Transfer at ASU. Program Director in Molecular and Cellular Biosciences at the National Science Foundation. Leader in forming one of the world's foremost transgenic plant research groups at ProdiGene, a plant biotechnology start-up company. Director of the cell biology group for plant production of therapeutic proteins at Pioneer Hi-Bred International, a Fortune 500 Company. Internationally recognized for research program and associated expertise as evidenced by over 75 publications and patents as well as invitations to speak nationally and internationally.

Dr. Guido Krupp (Ph.D.) is CEO and president of AmpTec GmbH. In 1981 he received his Ph.D. degree (Würzburg University & Max-Planck-Institute Martinsried). From 1983 to 1987 he was post-doc at Yale University. From 1987 to 2002: research group leader at Kiel University. Founder of artus GmbH (year 1998) & AmpTec GmbH (year 2005). Research interests: nucleic acid technology with focus on RNA, plant pathogens (viroids), ribozymes and telomerase. More than 60 publications, editor of Ribozyme Biochemistry & Biotechnology, and of Telomeres, Telomerases & Cancer, in the editorial board of Biotechnology Annual Review; SAB member of Orthogenics AS, Tromso, Norway.
