Dr. Bhattacharjee did her B.Sc in Biotechnology from Bangalore University in 2006 and M.Sc in Applied Genetics from Bangalore University in 2008. She then moved to England to pursue her DPhil (Phd) in Biochemistry from Oxford University where she studied the role of Fml1 and its partner proteins Mhf1 and Mhf2 in promoting genome stability. She was awarded her DPhil in 2012. During her time at Oxford, she was also a tutor at Greene’s College, Oxford. In 2013, Dr. Bhattacharjee moved to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York. At CSHL, her work has focused on understanding the epigenetic regulation of DNA repair. She is also an academic tutor at the Watson School of Biological studies, the school for graduate studies at CSHL.

Fuad Fares has completed his D.Sc studies at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and postdoctoral studiesat the Department of Molecular Biology and Pharmacology, School of Medicine, Washington University, St. Louis Missouri. He is the director of the Department of Molecular Genetics at Carmel Medical Center and associated professor at the Department of Human Biology, University of Haifa. He has published more than 75 papers in reputed journals and serving as a member of the Israel Council for Higher Education. 1978 and 1999 has completed his Ph.D and D.Sci. at the ages of 33 and 54 years from Zelinsky Instiute of Organic Chemistry, Moscow, Russia and Durmishidze Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Tbilisi, Georgia, respectively. 2006 up to date he is the head of laboratory of plant biopolymers at the Tbilisi State Medical University Institute of Pharmacochemistry. 1996 and 2002 he has been a visiting scientist at Utrecht University (faculty of pharmacy), The Netherlands, by University Scholarship and The Netherlands organization for scientific research (NWO) Scholarship Scientific Program, respectively.
